During October, photographers from across the country are joining together with PPA Charities (the philanthropic arm of Professional Photographers of America) in promoting “Family Portrait Month”. This national fundraising effort will benefit Operation Smile, which treats children around the world who suffer with cleft lips, cleft palates and other facial deformities.
October is really the best time for family portraits because the busy holiday season is just right around the corner. By having your family portraits made now you can beat the holiday rush and you help to contribute to changing the lives of children who would otherwise face a lifetime of pain and rejection.
