Miss
Laycee LeeAnn (my new niece) was born today at 12:02pm. She weighed in at 6 pounds and 5 ounces and she's 19 inches long!
Laycee, Mom, and Dad are all doing great!!!
Laycee is already a trooper.
Sorry about the quality of some of these images. Most shots were taken through the hospital nursery glass and then there was the hospital lighting I had to work with (didn't use a flash). I had my ISO cranked up pretty high so they're a little "grainy". I was also competing with
Laycee's personal paparazzi - lots of aunts, uncles, cousins, Grandpas, and Grandmas! There was no way I could get
Laycee to myself and take the newborn shots I wanted (not unless I wanted to get beat up by the Grandmas:). Oh well, I'll try again tomorrow!
One of
Laycee's first adventures will be the Texas Children's Hospital on August 6, 2008. Here they will evaluate her cleft and start scheduling her appointments. I'm no doctor, but I know what I see. And I see a BEAUTIFUL and 100% HEALTHY baby girl and that's all that matters!!!! Today's technology is awesome and so no worries! And Texas Children's has some of the best doctors in the world.
