Sweet, Sweet Baby

Miss Laycee LeeAnn (my new niece) was born today at 12:02pm. She weighed in at 6 pounds and 5 ounces and she's 19 inches long! Laycee, Mom, and Dad are all doing great!!! Laycee is already a trooper.
Sorry about the quality of some of these images. Most shots were taken through the hospital nursery glass and then there was the hospital lighting I had to work with (didn't use a flash). I had my ISO cranked up pretty high so they're a little "grainy". I was also competing with Laycee's personal paparazzi - lots of aunts, uncles, cousins, Grandpas, and Grandmas! There was no way I could get Laycee to myself and take the newborn shots I wanted (not unless I wanted to get beat up by the Grandmas:). Oh well, I'll try again tomorrow!


One of Laycee's first adventures will be the Texas Children's Hospital on August 6, 2008. Here they will evaluate her cleft and start scheduling her appointments. I'm no doctor, but I know what I see. And I see a BEAUTIFUL and 100% HEALTHY baby girl and that's all that matters!!!! Today's technology is awesome and so no worries! And Texas Children's has some of the best doctors in the world.

Cowgirl / Ballerina Princess

This royal beauty is Princess Marlee. She was so much fun and was quite the little model. Most of the time she just danced and played while I "snapped".

Marlee will be a new, big sister in a couple of months and she's SOOO HAPPY about this. She did tell me she was the BOSS though!!!

Somebody's waking up to the world...

It's hard to believe that almost 3 months ago Lori Lee was just a bump in my belly. I really cannot remember what life was like without her - man, I must have had tons of free time!!!

It's amazing to see how much she changes and learns everyday. Her current fascination is with her hands. Lori loves to watch them and she tries to control them, but she just hasn't mastered that quite yet. Every now and then, the hands cooperate and go straight to the mouth.

Dancing Queen...

Briea had her ballet recital last Thursday night. She was awesome!!!

Have You Seen This Dog???

This is Penny and she's been missing since 6-2-08. Penny is owned by a photographer friend named Josh Barry in Harrisburg, PA. Penny came up missing one afternoon after Josh left his house for a couple of hours. Josh has had a few leads on her, but nothing concrete. Penny is missed so much by her family and that's why I'm posting this here. You never know.
